There was information that Samsung would be releasing the Samsung Galaxy S3, the successor of the one of the most sold Samsung Galaxy S2 in February 2012 during the Mobile World conference trade show in Barcelona, Spain. But it seems that we won’t see the release of the much awaited phone as early as expected. Tech site Techradar has posted that official statement released by Samsung that they wont be releasing the much awaited galaxy S series phone next month. Here is the official statement from Samsung-
Samsung is looking forward to introducing and demonstrating exciting new mobile products at Mobile World Congress 2012. The successor to the Galaxy S2 smartphone will be unveiled at a separate Samsung-hosted event in the first half of the year, closer to commercial availability of the product. Samsung stays committed to providing the best possible mobile experiences for customers around the world.
Definitely it’s not a good news for Android fans who were expecting a better version of Galaxy S2. According to some of the leaked information Samsung Galaxy S3 would run on Android 4.0, would have a 12 MP camera and would contain super AMOLED screen. We would be posting about the Samsung Galaxy S3 Specifications once we have more information about it.
The probable reason that Samsung is delaying the release of S3 is because iPhone 5 is expected to be released in July 2012 and Samsung may also plan to release the phone at same time.
